- There is no parking lot available. The island of Juist is car-free.
- The building is infinitely accessible via the side entrance. The ramp at the side entrance has a maximum gradient of 4 % and a total length of 4,50 m.
- All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are infinitely accessible at ground level or via a ramp.
- All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 90 cm wide.
- The cash desk is at its lowest point 96 cm high. There is not another, equivalent communication possibility while in a sitting position.
- External paths are at least 105 cm wide and in most cases not easy to walk on and drive on and have a maximum longitudinal gradient of up to 5 %.
- There is no seating available.
- The exhibits are predominately visible when seated.
- The information on the exhibits is predominately readable when seated.
Public toilet for people with disabilities (outdoors)

- The toilet door can be opened with a Euro-key.
- The manoeuvring spaces are:
in front of/behind the door, in front of the toilet and in front of the washbasin at least 150 cm x 150 cm;
left of the toilet BREITE cm x TIEFE cm and right of the toilet BREITE cm x TIEFE cm.
right of the toilet 126 cm x 57 cm, no manoeuvring space on the left. - There are grab rails available on the right and left of the toilet. The grab rail on the right of the toilet can be flipped-up.
- The sink is wheelchair compatible.
- The mirror is not visible while sitting.
- There is a changing table available.
- An alarm trigger (cord) is available.
